I left Hotel Rila yesterday after my 3 days stay. I was impressed by the location - near to everything, there is a shopping centre just 5 minute walk from the HOTEL, near to the metro station, 4 stops to the heart of the City. I recommend this budget hotel to everyone who is travelling to Budapest.

Hotel economico non troppo distante dal centro, solo 5 cinque fermate dalla piazza principale di budapest...ottima posizione per una vacanza anche di pochi giorni.Ciao.

August 27, 2009. We actually stayed here for 3 days and to say the truth this place is so nice especially for couples. Cool, green area and not far from the dowtown it is about 20 minute walking distance, good staff and you can enjoy your beer at their cool terrace.

We have just come back from Budapest. The Hotel & Hostel Rila is very clean, has good food and it is well communicated. We want to remark the helpful information from the receptionist "Chila". Our stay there has been very peaceful and pleasant. We are going to recommend this Hostel. Thanks a lot.

Feb 12, 2007 - OK Location. We stayed at the Rila last summer in a family room. The price was ok, inclusive of a basic breakfast. There is a restaurant downstairs that serves nice food. We stayed in a family room, basic furniture but it was clean and quite big. The staff was friendly and showed us the best way to get to the city. As we travelled by car it was great to be able to park our car free on the hotel carpark.

August 23, 2006. - The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. A bit of a language barrier at times, but nothing serious. Close to the underground, easy access to city centre.

May 11, 2006. - We liked that it was a quiet hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds ok.

Nov 2, 2006. A great little budget hotel! Having seen earlier reviews we were a bit worried about the Rila, but it was great. We had two single rooms for myself and a friend. Very basic - no TV, but freshly decorated and clean with a modern bathroom and large shower. Efficient heating which we needed - it was freezing outside. The reception spoke good English and were very helpful. Breakfast was OK - bread, cereals, scrambled eggs and average coffee. Rila was in a quiet street and less than 5 minutes walk from the Blue Metro line station and just a few stops to the centre of Budapest. It cost about Ł25 per night and was a third of the price of any hotel in the centre. If you just want somewhere to sleep without all the trimmings of a luxury accommodation then I can thoroughly recommend the Rila for a few days in the lovely city of Budapest.

Not too much of a party place but a totally recommendable hostel for those looking for an inexpensive, no-nonsense place to sleep. There is a nightbus within a three minute walk running all night and a tram more or less in front of the door. Thanks.

The hotel Rila is newly renovated and it is spotless. It is not very close to the center, but it is just a few minutes walk to the shores of the Danube, and from there you can walk towards the center and admire the buildings on each side of the river. While visiting Budapest, I would not hesitate to chose this hotel. Also, it comes with a very big breakfast :)
